Red Velvet Crm Cheese Cookies!
Here is some Red velvet goodness. But even better, these are filled with a cream cheese filling. The texture of these cookies is creamy-like, similar to a brookie.

Ingredients
  • --COOKIE--
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 sticks Mehadrin butter
  • 1 1/3 cups white sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 4 teaspoon red food coloring
  • --FILLING--
  • 8 ounces J&J cream cheese
  • 1 cup confection sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Here is some Red velvet goodness. But even better, these are filled with a cream cheese filling. The texture of these cookies is creamy-like, similar to a brookie.

Instructions

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350.
Mix the dry ingredients together in a bowl (flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt), and set aside.
In a mixer beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.  Slowly add rest of the ingredients while mixing. Make sure each ingredient is well combined before adding the next. Add in the dry ingredients and mix until dough comes together. 
With wet hands, form balls (about the size of 2 Tbsp.). Lay balls on cookie sheets.
Bake for 15 minutes.

In a small bowl combine the cheese filling
Allow cookies to fully cool before filling them.

To fill, take two cookies, place about a teaspoon of filling on one then close with the second to form a sandwich.
